The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm in the lobby of the New Gym followed by refreshments, then the Girls Varsity Game then the induction ceremony followed by the Boys' Varsity Game

History of the Bensalem High School Hall Of Fame

 
The Bensalem High School Hall of Fame was conceived by Dr. James I. Bardsley, Jr. in 1967. He proposed that the Bensalem High School Sports Association, Inc. endeavor to establish a lasting tribute to those athletes who contributed their time, talents, dedications and self-discipline to the athletic program.
 
The Sports Association unanimously approved the Hall of Fame concept, and it became a reality in 1968. Unfortunately, no one was inducted between 1977 and 1987.
 
In September of 1986 a new committee was formed at the suggestion of the high school, district, and community members who were eager to revive the Hall of Fame.
 
From that committee grew the idea that not only athletes but also coaches and private citizens who significantly contributed to the high school athletic program were worthy of recognition. The criteria for each group are as follows:
 
1.                  Outstanding Athletes of Bensalem High School
a.       Nominated at least five years after graduation
b.      Demonstrated outstanding school citizenship, etc.
c.       Meets and/or exceeds eligibility requirements of P.I.A.A.
 
2.                  Former Outstanding Athletic Coaches of Bensalem High School.
a.       Nominated at least five years after resigning or retiring
b.      Demonstrated concern for academic as well as athletic standards
c.       Demonstrated outstanding records of performance
 
3.                  Distinguished Long-Term Service to Bensalem High School Athletic Program(s)
a.       Ten Years minimum distinguished service to our high school community
