Hedy Schernecke passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014, at home with her loving family by her side. She was 72-years young.
She was born in Philadelphia, and later in life became a 42-year resident of Oakford.
Daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Witzel, she is survived by Steve, her husband of 52 years, their three children and spouses, Kathy Doran (Kevin), Lynda Horlacher (David) and Stephen Schernecke (Christi); five grandchildren, Tim and Amanda Horlacher, Bryan Landis, Alexander and Nikolas Schernecke; one brother, Art Witzel (Barbara); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ken and Anne Schernecke; five nieces and nephews, Kevin Schernecke (Ruthie), Andrea and Beth Schernecke, Rhyannon and Josh Witzel; and grand-nephew, Zachary Schernecke.
Friends, family, and acquaintances are invited to the viewing from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Assumption BVM Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in the name of Hedy Schernecke to Gilda's Club/Noogieland, 200 Kirk Road, Warminster, PA 18974.

I was sorry to hear of Hedy passing. She was a wonderful girl that I remembger so well from school. Rest in Peace, Hedy. My condolences to her amily.
