Lived in Bucks county for 87 years. Graduated from Bensalem High School in 1943. Served in the Army during World War II in the 748th Railway Battalion in the China-Burma-India Theater. Also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for several years after the war. He worked at several jobs during his life. Remington-Rand, Philco, Hillcrest Dairies, Bucks County Courier Times and for 35 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a child and later as an Assistant Scout Master and Scout Master for Troop #19 of Langhorne PA. He was married for 59 years to Doris (Sutton) Knight and lived in Langhorne PA from 1948 until 2013. He had 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, building model airplanes, and time with his family.

Lawrence F. Knight of Mentor, Ohio died March 31, 2015 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township, Ohio. He was 89.

Born June 26, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pa., he lived in Croydon, Pa. before moving to Langhorne, Pa. He had been a 65-year resident of Langhorne.

He graduated from Bensalem High School in 1943. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the 748th Railway Battalion in the China-Burma-India Theater. Mr. Knight was Scout Master of Troop 19 in Langhorne in the 1960s.

Lawrence worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia for 35 years.

He is survived by his sons, David L. (Mildred) of Butte, Mont. and Stephen M. (Patricia) of Mentor, Ohio; six grandchildren, David Jr., Jonathan, Deborah, Andrew, Robert and Christina; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Doris (Sutton) Knight; his parents, George M. and Jennie (Freiter) Knight; and sister, Johanna Faber.

Graveside services for Lawrence F. Knight will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne, Pa.
