Wilson Hansbury - Class Of 1959

Wilson Hansbury

Wilson was born on September 2, 1941 and passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Wilson was a resident of Pennsylvania at the time of passing.

He was a graduate of Bensalem High School and attended Millersville University.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in Snyder's United Methodist Church, 1724 New Bloomfield Road, New Bloomfield. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miller Twp. AS viewing will be held at the church Tuesday from 9AM until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Snyder's UM Church, 1724 New Bloomfield Road, New Bloomfield, Pa. 17068 or Join Hands Ministry, 25 McClure St., New Bloomfield, PA.

 

Wilson J. Hansbury, 77, of Little Buffalo Road, Newport went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Born September 2, 1941 in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Brecht) Hansbury.

Wilson was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He spent time helping others and was involved in many community activities. He was a Boy Scout leader of (Troop 92) for many years; a life member of the NRA and chairman of many committees within the Ickesburg Lions Club of which he was a very active member.  He was a graduate of Bensalem High School and attended Millersville University.  He was a member of Newport Lodge 358 F&AM. 

Surviving are his wife of 52 years and the “love of his life,” Beryl (Muir) Hansbury.  Three sons, Wilson C., wife Dee and children, Tessa and Lilly; Wade J., wife Bethany and children, Christopher “Tate”, Alexandria, Ethan and David; and Erik, wife Stacy and children Madisyn and Ryleigh.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in Snyder’s United Methodist Church, 1724 New Bloomfield Road, New Bloomfield.  His Pastor, William E. Pipp will officiate.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miller Twp.  A viewing will be held at the church Tuesday from 9AM until the time of service.

Wilson was a special person and good friend!  He will be missed!!

George Stockman (1961)

I was 2 years behind WIlson and looked up to him on the track team. He probably was the biggest guy in the class and threw the shot a little over 50 ft. Two years later, after a lot of work, I was a few inches under that. He had a nice smile and got along with everyone. One of our Trevose neighbors had a crush on him. I'm disappointed that I won't get to talk with him at the September reunion. RIP WIlson.
