James Allan Lamb was called away suddenly on January 2, 2016, but his spirit of hard work and resourcefulness will carry on with his wife Dorothy of 34 years and their family.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 22, 1943 to Oscar "Dock" (deceased) and Addie Mae Lamb, James Allan Lamb was 3rd in a family of 5 children (Roy & Cornell, deceased, Barbara & Carol). He attended Bensalem High School where he met Ruth Watts, whom he later married. He joined the Air Force and the couple moved to Florida, then settled in Utah and raised 3 children.
After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for Mountain Bell where he met and married Dorothy Carter. He served in the Air National Guard until his retirement from Ma Bell, then worked full-time for the guard until his retirement.
Besides his wife, Jim is survived by his children: Paula (Pierre) Kirby; Keith; Brent (Elaine); Shamim Backus (George); step-daughters JoAnne (Scott) Edmonds, Marlene (John) Mayo, Twyla Hill (Victor), Valery Kimble and the many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. 
A viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary at 1007 West South Jordan Prkwy, January 10 from 4-6:30, & again January 11 from 9:30-10:30 before funeral services at 11 am.
