Robin Canning (1970)

Sad, today, contemplating Janice's suicide, the death of a sister in the LORD w/whom I had recently reconnected via FB. It was w/great joy that I learned she had become a Christian & was devoting her life to loving & serving JESUS!

However, though she was deeply loved, married, & had children & grandchildren she loved & spent time w/, though she loved her church & Christian friends, the overwhelming pain of the loss of her sister & father, together w/, very possibly, other contributors, was more than she was able to bear, more than she chose to bear. Knowing she would be w/JESUS, in Heaven, & no longer experiencing relentless emotional pain, she chose to hasten her death & completion on this earth in favor of a far better experience in Heaven.

Her choosing to end her earthly life is a tragic reminder of the depth of the relentless mental, emotional & physical pain many are experiencing...in all walks of life, including the Bride of Christ...that may grow beyond one's personal ability to handle.

Some benefit from counseling. Some refuse to be comforted. Some have lost hope w/the realization that their horrible situation may never change, & the totality of their weariness has eclipsed their desire to live. But, all who have repented of their sinful ways, which includes choosing to live independently of GOD, & have lovingly embraced JESUS as their Redeemer, will, w/certainty, be w/Him in Heaven throughout Eternity. If they have never known Him to be their very PEACE here, on Earth, in the midst of their multiplied adversities, they will, there, in Heaven.

Janice is @ peace, today, filled w/JOY, worshipping & celebrating JESUS, Whom she loved, in His Home, w/all those who, loving Him, have passed on, as well. Perhaps, her dear sister & father are there, with her!

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

~  Revelation 21:4 ~

Her favorite Gospel Song is "Cornerstone" by Hillsong. You can view it & listen to the lyrics, if you like, on You Tube.

Jerry Wright (1960)

Janice and my sister Gail Wright were best friends growing up in Andalusia only a few streets apart.   I know she had reconnected with Gail on Facebook and Gail almost got her to come to the annual picnic for her class.  Janice changed her mind last minute.  Such a beautiful and gentle girl from childhood.  I remember Gail and Janice playing together and going to the movie theater in Mayfair together, taking the bus from City Line and feeling very grown up.   Initially, our mother used to drive them to Mayfair and wait in the car for he movie to end so she could drive them home.

So sad for Janice to have passed on prematurely.   We never really know the pain another person feels.

My condolences to her family.
