Eugene H. Walsh, age 62, of West Deptford passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA he currently was employed at Rite Aid in Penns Grove and H&R Block in Deptford. He previously worked at Dollar Tree in Woodbury, and Cumberland Farms in Mantua. Gene enjoyed going to the Pocono Mountains, trips to the casinos, playing "Yoville" on the computer, and spending time with his family & friends.
Son of the late Thomas F. Walsh and Beatrice (nee Richards), he is survived by his siblings; Barbara Walsh of Bristol, PA, Edward Walsh of Bensalem, PA, Mabel Juliff of West Deptford, NJ, Michael "Denny" Walsh of Trevose, PA, Patrick Walsh of Pala, CA, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Gene was also Godfather to Alex Hilbmann. He is predeceased by his siblings; Thomas Walsh, Mary Udzinski, Arlene Keiffer, Joseph Walsh, Larry Walsh, Hilda Jefferson, and Catherine McLaughlin.
Family and friends will gather to remember Gene on Sunday, July 17th from 11am to 1pm at the Mantua Volunteer Fire Company, 42 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. This is sad news to me. When we were kids he showed up at my back door. We talked off and on during the school year. He had a crush on me. He was kind and gentle. He was always there for me when I was on Facebook . He was always encouraging. I closed my FB so it was hard to stay in touch. Just recently he posted something and I didn't have access to respond. I tried. Eugene, I will miss you and think of you often. Prayers for you and your family. So, so sorry to hear this.
