In Memory

Lynn Davis (McNamara) - Class Of 1978

Lynn Davis (McNamara)

SHEFFIELD LAKE – Lynn Shirley (Davis) (Scott ) McNamara, 55, of Sheffield Lake, OH, the love of my life, passed away Thursday, May 12th, 2016, at Cleveland Clinic Hospital due to complications from liver failure. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 30, 1960, the daughter of Harry & Shirley (Muffett) Davis. Lynn was a graduate of Bensalem High School, Bensalem, PA. On January 21, 1989, she was united in marriage to John Thomas McNamara, in Bensalem, PA. They celebrated 27 years of marriage, love and life.
While her husband dragged her half way around the country as a military wife, which she excelled at, and he still can't believe she did it, Lynn worked at the following: NADC Warminister, PA as a human resource professional; USCG Marine Safety Office, Philadelphia, PA as a vessel documentation clerk; Naval Base Groton, CT as a human resource assistant; Cornette Ribbon, Oldsmar, FL, as a production supervisor; and CVS Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician in Ohio.
Lynn is survived by her husband John Thomas, one daughter, two step daughters, and 11 grandchildren: Cheryl Lynn Scott, Bensalem, PA (Sean, Mackenzie, Isabella), Amanda Joy (Brian) Hill, Columbia SC, (Katie Grace, Olivia, Sawyer, Ellie), and Bethany June (Klein) (Rob) Wright Charleston, SC (Elisabeth, Abigail, Michael, Julie Ann). Lynn was preceded in death by her father Harry F. Davis, mother Shirley (Muffett) Davis, grandmother Elizabeth Muffett, and her best puppy girl Mollie Rose.
There will be a Time of Gathering determined at a later date for family and friends.
Lynn donated her body to the Cleveland Clinic for medical research. She would, like you to consider this option. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, Avon Lake, OH.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Cleveland Clinic Avon ER, Cleveland Clinic Fairview MICU, and Cleveland Clinic (Main Campus) MICU staffs for their diligent efforts - especially Elizabeth & Cierra for their compassion during the last few days. You ladies overwhelmed my heart and kept me from falling apart, I thank you. John

I am so sorry for your loss, John and your family. How wonderful that Lynn had a daughter and a happy marriage and all the wonderful places she went with you, all the ways she contributed to the community at the various places where you lived. I remember Lynn as a sweet young lady at Bensalem High School. We were in many classes together. She was quiet and reserved for the most part, as I recall, and always very cheerful and sweet. Deepest sympathy for your loss.
