HELEN TAYLOR OBITUARY

Obituary of Helen Edith Taylor
Helen Edith Taylor, 90, went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2023.
Helen was born in Philadelphia, PA. on June 8, 1932. She graduated from Bensalem High School in Bensalem, PA. in 1949. Helen graduated first in her class from Frankfort Hospital School of Nursing (R.N.) in 1952 and married her high school sweetheart, Earl, later that year. She continued her education with a B.A. in Education from Trenton State College in NJ. in 1971. Helen worked in the premature nursery at Frankfort Hospital prior to her employment as a school nurse in Bristol Township School District until she retired in 1990 after 25 years.
After retiring, Helen and Earl visited all 50 states (a rare accomplishment) including travel in their motor home and trips to both Hawaii and Alaska. They also travelled abroad to Europe, cruised in the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal. Throughout her life, Helen's favorite things were reading, jigsaw puzzles, and sewing where she made over 300 pillowcase dresses for little girls in Africa (through a non-profit Christian organization).
Helen was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Ida Peters and her husband Earl C. Taylor Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter Donna Austin (Bill), son Earl Taylor, Jr. (Brenda), grandchildren Amy Swicker (Tom), Andrew Robinson (Alexis) and Michelle Kisler (Brian). Helen was also blessed with 6 great-grandchildren, Andrew Kisler, Caleb Kisler, Kaitlynn Kisler, Wyatt Swicker, Sophie Robinson and George Robinson III.
Also cherishing her memory are Helen's many friends at Friendship Retirement Community and the congregation at Northminster Presbyterian Church.
A celebration of her life will be held in the chapel at Friendship Retirement Community on Hershberger Road on Saturday May 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gentiva Hospice www.gentivahs.com or to Northminster Presbyterian Church www.northminsterpcusa.org.
