Eugene Lillie 1958-1960 Science

CORRY — Eugene M. Lillie, 76, 212 E. Church St., Corry, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at his home.

He was born Aug. 15, 1926, in Forest City, son of the late Merrill O. and Beatrice Estabrook Lillie. He lived in Corry since 1979.

He worked in the engineering department at Peek'n Peak Resort and Conference Center for 10 years. He formerly taught at Bensalem High School and Delaware Valley Regional High School in eastern Pennsylvania. He also taught summer semesters at Rosseau Lake College in Muskoka, Ontario.

He graduated from Corry High School and received his bachelor's degree in education from Edinboro University.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He enjoyed flying and gliding, plus square dancing.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Hardy and her husband, Todd, of Burlington, Ontario; two sons, Ron Lillie and his wife, Kay, of Los Angeles and Paul Lillie and his wife, Patricia, of Sorrento, Calif.; a sister, Edith J. Lillie; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. to noon at Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry. A service will follow, officiated by the Rev. Donald H. Gordon of First Presbyterian Church in Corry.

Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery.
