Joanne Elizabeth Fields

Joanne Fields passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012. She was 75. 

She was preceded in death by parents, Edward J. and Emily (Barrall) Fields, and grandparents, Raymond and Katherine (Bausch) Barrall. Raised in Bensalem, Pa., she graduated from Kutztown and the Univ. of Kentucky in Library Science. 

She worked in the Brooklyn Public Library System and retired in 1993. 

She moved to Riverton, N.J. to be near her family. Her family was her first love. 

Her garden was one of her many passions. 

She loved the Arts in Philadelphia! She never missed a ballet or opera. She belonged to the Walnut St. and Broad St. Theater. She was a friend of the Art Museum, 300, Smithsonian and Williamsburg Foundation. 

She traveled extensively to over 40 countries. She went on all of Ruth Yearly's trips. 

She was a member of the Riverton Porch Club and was on many committees. 

She was a member of her Women's Club at Bethany Lutheran Church in Palmyra. 

She volunteered at the Riverton Public Library. 

Joanne will be greatly missed by her sister, Barbara and husband, Mike Flaherty; brother, John and wife, Joanne Fields; niece, Nancy J. Knauer; nieces, Colleen Johnson and Julianne Johnson, nephews, John E. Fields, Sean Fields and David Johnson, cousins, Jackie Bausch and family, Eric Newsom and family. 

The memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26th at Bethany Lutheran Church, Broad and Morgan Ave, Palmyra, N.J. Luncheon following. Berry-Short Funeral Home  Milford, Del.
