Bernard F. Mullen

Bernard F. 'Barney' Mullen of Bensalem passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, in Aria Torresdale Hospital. He was 87.

Barney was born in Philadelphia, and had resided in Bensalem, for 83 years. He had served proudly in the U.S. Army 7th Infantry Division on the front lines of the Korean War.

He was a buyer for Sears & Roebuck on Roosevelt Boulevard.

Barney loved to travel with his wife, especially taking cruises around the world. He enjoyed reading, and watching educational programming. He was handy with his hands and also enjoyed building things.

Barney was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Holzworth Mullen. He is survived by one son, Bernard K. 'Bernie' Mullen of Upper Holland.

Relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
