Lester C. Les Yeagle

Lester Charles Yeagle Sr. of Croydon passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014. He was 86.

Born June 19, 1928, in Bensalem, he was the son of the late Walter R. Yeagle and Anna George Yeagle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four sisters, Velma D. Yeagle, Grace L. Yeagle (infancy), Gladys M. Antonelli, and Doris V. Vansant; and also his son, Lester C. Yeagle Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elaine Bishop Yeagle, five daughters, Susan Lee Heckroth (Frederick) of Woodruff, S.C., Barbara Elaine Eggert (Clifford) of Carlisle, Pa., Janet Ann Roccamo (Carlo) of Bensalem, Nancy Jean Yeagle of Philadelphia, and Karen Fay Decker (Joseph) of Franklinville, N.J.; eight grandchildren, Melissa Donnelly, Brian Eggert, Wayne Eggert, Jennifer Roccamo, Cheryl Donofrio, Crystal Caito, Amanda Decker, and Joseph Decker Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Kiersten Donofrio, Kaylee Donofrio, and Ava Caito; and a cousin, Jean A. Yeagle of Langhorne.

Lester grew up on Yeagle Brothers Farm (Brookfield Farms) in Bensalem. He and his wife, Elaine, enjoyed many years in their country house in Cheswold, Del.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Faust Funeral Home, 902 Belleview Ave., Hulmeville. Burial will follow in Churchville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice or Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills, N.J. The family is at their respective homes. Faust Funeral Home, Hulmeville
