Joe was a long time member of the Perth Citizens' Band and the Perth Community Choir Pit Band specializing in Clarinet. He was a composer with all his original works being performed in Perth and Florida .In 1968 he married his flute playing wife. Joe moved to Canada in 1969 to become the music teacher at SFDCI. After three years teaching, he became a law clerk specializing in real estate. While working full time, he still maintained his love of music by playing in two organizations in Perth. In 1972 he winterized a summer cabin on Christie Lake and in 1979 he built an addition which doubled the size of the cabin. 1992 saw his retirement due to a massive heart attack. Although not working 40 hour week, Joe still maintained his music and had time to write his many compositions for band, choir and solo work. . |
