James J. 'Jimmy' Nolan passed away after a tough battle with pancreatic cancer, Sunday, July 13, 2014. He was 53.
He was loving husband and best friend of Michelle (Smith); devoted father of Shannon, Rob Neilson (Ashley) and Ed Neilson (Jen); dear Poppy of Logan; son of James F. and Margaret Nolan; caring brother of Jody Bielecki (Stephen), Mags Dearduff (Scott) and Kevin (Melissa); and also is survived by his large extended loving family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave. (S. of Grant Ave.), Philadelphia, Interment will be held privately.

My brother fought this battle with so much courage and humor. Sadly this cancer took him so fast and at such a young age! We love you and miss you every day jimmy!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Nolan family. Jimmy was a great guy! I am proud to have known him in high school and even prouder that he went on to serve his country! 53 is entirely too young! May the Lord continue to comfort you all at this terrible time of loss.
