Joan M. Zajdel | 1930 - 2019

Joan M. Zajdel, 88, of Gwynedd Valley, died Friday, November 15, 2019.  She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Zajdel, who died April 28, 2006.

Born November 29, 1930 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Osiecki) Blasch.

Mrs. Zajdel was a skilled doll maker and talented dancer.  Earlier in life, she was a dedicated parishioner of Saint Peter Catholic Church (Greenville, NC) where she was a choir member, school tutor, and former President of the Women’s Club.

She is survived by her daughters, Joann (Stephen) of Gwynedd Valley, and Jeanne “Ginger” (Charles) of North Wales; granddaughter, Meredith (Ryan) of Upper Providence; her great-grandsons, Dominic and Joseph; sister-in-law, Mary of Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 12 siblings.

Visitation for relatives and friends will begin 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 424 S. Main St., North Wales, followed by the Funeral Mass at 12 Noon.  A luncheon will follow at the William Penn Inn, Gwynedd.  Burial will be private in Finn’s Point National Cemetery, Pennsville, NJ.
