Dave and I were friends  for many years from Boy Scouts until we were adults

We traveled together for a month in Europe in 1972 which caused him to miss his sisters wedding

I became married and we drifted apart but he was a good smart person,shy, but with an amazing wit

We both joined the Air Force and he almost died from Spinal Meningitis I drove down to Biloxi MS to see him

I'll close witth one of his comments from a letter to me from Biloxi

The cockroaches here are 6' tall and wear smokie the bear hats,the airman have to travel in pairs to avoid capture
