Phyllis Ritter (Holtzworth)

Phyllis L. Holtzworth, of Levittown, died peacefully Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at home. She was 86 years old.

A lifetime resident of Bucks County, Phyllis was born in Bristol Borough, raised in Cornwell Heights, and has been a long-time resident of Falls Township.

Phyllis obtained her degree in nursing from the Bucks County Technical School, and was employed with Dr. James Rossi in Levittown for many years prior to her retirement.

She was passionate about needle point, cross stitch, and knitting. She was also a member of the Bristol Yacht Club and former secretary of the “Ships’ Belles.” She enjoyed boating, camping, was an avid reader of horror books, enjoyed collecting “Garfield” memorabilia, and would often donate to her favorite charities.

Wife of the late Harry W. Holtzworth, Sr., she is survived by her two children, Harry W., Holtzworth, Jr. (Jean) and Connie J. Costello; five grandchildren, Joshua Holtzworth (Desiree), Candace Holtzworth, Megan Gable (Joe), Liz Ryan (Chris), Courtney Glassman (Danny); and thirteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Holtzworth was also preceded in death by her brother Arthur Ritter, and will be sadly missed by extended family members and friends.

Her Life Celebration will be held Monday, 11 AM, October 16, 2023, at the Beck-Givnish Life Celebration Home, Inc., 7400 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA, where relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA.
