Dorothy ʻDotʻ Schwind

Dorothy 'Dot' Schwind AIKEN, S.C. – Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Schwind, 89, of Aiken and a former longtime resident of Holland, PA, wife of the late Rolf Schwind, entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, October 5th, 2011. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Stella Hoehle Cairns. A resident of Bucks County most of her life she had lived in Aiken for the last eight years. Saturdays meant 5 o'clock Mass followed by dinner with the girls at Mi Rancho. In addition to her husband and parents, family members include daughters, Debbie Lynn Cox, Aiken and Susan Maggioncalda (Dr. Joseph) Myrtle Beach; sister, Charlotte Arisman, Boston, MA grandchildren, Elizabeth Cox, Elise Maggioncalda, Joseph Maggioncalda and Emily Maggioncalda and her beloved cat, Lucy. At her request, Dot will be cremated and a memorial gathering for her family and friends is being planned. The family has requested that memorials be made to the S.P.C.A.
