Albert Gutekunst Obituary

Albert W. Gutekunst, Jr.
On Friday, April 16, 2021 Albert W. Gutekunst Jr. departed this world to rejoin his wife Joyce who preceded him to Heaven just three weeks prior. Their love took them through life's joys and sorrows over many years. Together they raised their three children, James, Michael and Karen followed by the growth of their family to include their children's' spouses Bill & Colleen as well as grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sean and William.
As a young man "Bub" enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. This is when he met Joyce who proudly waited for his return, upon when they would marry. This September 4th would have been their 50th anniversary. From the Navy he went on to install fire alarm, nurses call and emergency systems. He was driven by the thought that his work would save someone's life. He was always willing to lend a hand to friends and family and quick to make anyone laugh. One of his loves was marching with his friends and family in a long history between Harrowgate and Uptown Stringbands. He followed in his fathers footsteps and marched along side his brother and children.
Albert Jr was preceded in death by his parents Albert Sr and Edna Gutekunst and his in-laws James and Vingenza Piazza. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings and their spouses Lorraine & Conrad Fragassi, Carl & Joanne Gutekunst and Edna & Ron Rudy as well as extended family and friends.
