In Memory

Linda Copeland (Zielanski) - Class Of 1971

Linda Copeland (Zielanski)

Mary Linda “Linny” Zielanski, 69, passed away on November 6, 2023 in Missoula, Montana.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 24, 1953, Linda spent her early childhood in
Southeast Philadelphia before her family relocated to Northeast Philadelphia. Directly following
her graduation from Bensalem High School, Linda enrolled in the Frankford School of Nursing,
received her Diploma, and became a Registered Nurse. Shortly following that, she married her
high school sweetheart and they moved across the country to Plains, Montana. Together, they
had four children: Jamie, Jason, Jeremy, and Stefanie. Linda spent her entire adult life living in
the Northwest in Idaho and Montana. Eventually, she settled in Missoula, Montana in 2004.
Always a free spirit, Linda had a kind and generous heart. Despite facing a lifetime of personal
and medical challenges, she always maintained a sense of a humor. Linda loved her family and
proudly shared stories of her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and her nose
could always be found in a book. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, listening to
classic rock music, and watching true crime television.
Linda was preceded in death by her little sister Connie, her mother Nancy, and her father
James. Linda is survived by her daughter Jamie, sons Jason and Jeremy, and daughter
Stefanie. She is survived by their significant others/spouses Ryan, KayCee, Tracy, and Brian.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Devyn, Brendan (and his spouse Madison and great
granddaughter Everleigh), Hanna (and her spouse Wesly), Emma, Julia, Claire, Addyson,
Grant, Harrison, and Isla. She is also survived by her sister Carol, her brother-in-law Chip, and
nieces, Jacqueline, Jennifer, Lauren, and their respective families.
A small, private memorial will be held for family and friends in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on
March 20, 2024.
