Marion "Elaine" Fitzgerald

Marion “Elaine” (Cobleigh) Fitzgerald, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the age of 85. Born Bristol, PA to the late Helen (Scull) and Glen Cobleigh and was a lifelong resident of Bensalem.,.

She was a proud graduate of Bensalem High School, Class of 1956. Elaine dedicated 30 years of her life serving as a bus driver for the Bensalem School District.

Outside of her professional life, Elaine had many passions and interests. She was an avid reader with an insatiable love for books. She was known for her wisdom and gentle guidance and was always ready to lend an attentive ear and offer advice when it was needed most. One of Elaine’s greatest joys was spending time with her family, especially weekends at the mountain farm.

Elaine will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 67 years, Richard W. Fitzgerald. She will also be deeply missed by her loving children: Kathleen Petersen (John), Holly Fitzgerald-Visone (Mike), William Fitzgerald (Donna) and Richard Fitzgerald, Jr. Elaine is also survived by her son-in-law, Dan Janzer; her sister Maryann Michaels; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Janzer and her grandson, Michael Vincent Visone.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing, Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private. www.tomlinsonfh.com
