Jill McLaughlin Obituary

The McLaughlin family is sad to announce the passing of Jill Ann McLaughlin. We invite friends and family members to join us for her celebration of life service on Saturday August 12, 2023, at 10:30am at John J Bryers Funeral Home, 406 Easton Rd, Willow Grove, PA 19090.  Visitation from 9:30am to 10:30am

A life well lived. Jill was born in Abington, PA, in March of 1958. She was preceded in death by her loving father Henry L. Clymer, mother, June E. Clymer and her brother Kim R. Clymer. Jill is survived by her children Daniel and fiancé, Jennifer, Christopher and wife, Keri, three grandchildren - Caitlin (Sweet-pea), Cole, and Carter. She was also survived by her sister-in-law, Sue Clymer. Jill was the beloved wife of Daniel W. McLaughlin Jr. for 47 years.

Jill was employed by the Upper Moreland School District for 28 years as the Assistant Manager of Food Services and retired in December of 2020. She loved her job, co-workers, teachers and mostly the children that she had the pleasure to serve.

Starting each morning and ending each work day with a cup of tea was one of the small things in life that brought her great pleasure. As a young couple, Dan and Jill enjoyed going to LBI and continued that travel tradition with their children and grandchildren, anywhere along the Jersey Shore. Holidays were especially important and she loved decorating and celebrating with feasts and baked goods. One of Jill’s favorite times was having a Christmas gift giving day with the family. She also loved walking Peddler’s Village during the fall and looking at the Scarecrows, and, if it wasn’t too cold, looking at the lights at Christmas time. There were many years of tradition of visiting Hershey Park for their Christmas Candy Lane.

Jill loved life, her friends and her family the most. Her smile would light up a room, her heart was full of love, her spirit was full of life. She was a beautiful person that will be greatly missed.

In true Jill fashion, she always expressed her love of life and supported everyone emphatically. She battled and beat breast cancer and fought so hard against ovarian cancer. In honor of Jill and in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Unite For HER
