1936-2015 Ann C. Funk R.N., M ED, 79, of Wallingford died May 8, at home. Mrs. Funk was born in Pottsville the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Margaret nee Brennan Tomaino. Mrs. Funk received her nursing education at Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing. She also was a graduate of West Chester State University with a BS degree and her Masters Degree from Temple University and 60 credits for Drug and Alcohol Abuse from Penn State University. Mrs. Funk worked at Hahnemann Hospital, Childrens Hospital, Nazareth Hospital, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, and VA Hospital. She also worked as a school nurse at Springfield (Delco) Township and Bensalem Township School District retiring in 1998. After retiring she did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross Blood Drive, and Hospice. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Jack Funk, son John ( Nancy) Funk of Coronado, CA, daughters Margaret (Sally) Wilkins of Reading, PA and Kathleen Funk of Wallingford and Eight Grandchildren. Memorial Funeral Mass will be held of June 20, 2015 at St. John Chrysostom Church 617 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford at 10:30 A.M.
