Francis Hansell Cantwell

Frank H. Cantwell of Levittown passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at his home. He was 86. Born in Eddington, Frank had been a resident of Levittown for 62 years and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel parish. He was also a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph the Worker Council #4215. Frank worked as an operator with U.S. Steel in Fairless Hills for over 40 years until retiring in 1994. Frank was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and bowling, and loved to travel. He could always be found tinkering around his house and taking care of his home. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and will always be remembered lovingly. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Helen S. for 61 years, Mr. Cantwell was the loving father of Maureen “Mickie” McAteer (Christopher Jr.), Valerie Terry (Thomas), Cynthia “Cindy” Wright (Robert), Frank A. (Rose), and Brian J. (Theresa). He will also be sadly missed by sixteen grandchildren, Erin Zoog, Kaitlin Haas, Shannon McAteer, Michael, Thomas and Ryan Terry, Robert and Shaughn Wright, Frank, Steve, Allison and Megan Cantwell, Courtney, Tessa, Catharine and Kierstyn Cantwell; sixteen great- grandchildren; his brother, Charles Cantwell; sister, Louise Ann Tyciak; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call from 9 until 10:30 am. Thursday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
