Cynthia “Kay” Looney

March 1, 1952 - August 20, 2022

Cynthia “Kay” Looney (nee Thierjung), age 70, passed away on August 20, 2022.

Predeceased in death by her parents Nicholas and Virginia Thierjung (nee Cratch), her sister Theresa “Terri” Freitag, and her niece Nicole Thierjung.

Beloved mother of Ryan (Jill) Looney; loving sister of Karen (Jules) Matusek, and Nicholas Thierjung; cherished aunt of Amy, Matt, Michael, Jimmy, and Alex who was the daughter she never had. She was also a great aunt of Ashley, Ryleigh, Kaylee, Luey, and Miles.

Kay worked at Prudential Insurance Company in Willow Grove for 29 and a half years. After retirement, she enjoyed working with her fellow coworkers in the office at Pennsbury High School.

Kay loved country music, bingo, going to the casino, and spending time with her friends Margie, Lois, and Bonnie. She enjoyed arts and crafts and always made it a point to go to any craft show she could find. Kay was an eternally loyal, fun-loving, and compassionate person as well as a wonderful mother who was always there for her son. Kay will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Gathering on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Fluehr Funeral Home, 864 Bristol Pike (Rt. 13) Bensalem PA 19020. Memorial Service at 7:30 PM.

Interment will be private.
