Blanche M. Rickert, 99, formerly of Souderton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 12, 2025, in the Community at Pine Run.

            She was the beloved wife of the late Marcus A. Rickert who preceded her in death in 2015.

            Born in Edgley PA, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Sarah (Cahoone) Diehl.

            Blanche graduated from the former Northeastern Hospital School of Nursing in 1947.  She was a Registered Nurse and a Homemaker.

            Blanche was a lifetime member of Hilltown Baptist Church where she was active in the Nursery and Bible School and in their White Cross Sewing group.

            In her free time Blanche enjoyed sewing, making clothes for her family and spending time in her garden. She was also fond of hosting friends and family for special occasions and was known to send cards to family members to remember those special occasions. Blanche lovingly made 21 baby quilts for her great grandchildren.  

            Blanche is survived by three daughters;  Linda Williams and her husband Ken of Plantation, FL, Brenda Randall and her husband John of Doylestown, PA, and Wanda Zeo and her companion Ken Desorosiers of Harleysville, PA. She is survived by 15 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Blanche is also survived a sister;  Dorothy “Cookie” Greenly and her husband John of Chalfont, PA. .  

            She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Chantelau, her four brothers; David, Larry, John Jr. and Robert,  three sisters; Eleanor Bailey, Dolores Rickert and Jackie Catwalder.

            Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 25, 2025, at 11 AM in the Hilltown Baptist Church, 26 Upper Church Rd., Chalfont, PA 18914. Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM prior to the service in the church. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery .

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hilltown Baptist Church, P O Box 1, Hilltown, PA 18927, or to the Mission Projects Fellowship, Inc., P O Box 209, Telford, PA 18969.
