Evelyn M. Gross Obituary

Evelyn was born on September 5, 1924 in Newportville, PA. She is the daughter of Norris and Emma Muth. She had one brother, George, who served in the U.S. Army.

She passed away on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at Juniper Village in Bensalem, Pa.

Evelyn graduated from Bensalem High School. During the war she worked at Kaisers making airplane parts.

She married William J. Mucklow, U.S. Navy, and had two sons. Her husband passed away in 1949 leaving Evelyn a single mother.

In 1958 she married Richard Gross, U.S. Navy, and together they built a house in Newportville. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, and baking.

Evelyn and Dick had a huge garden. They canned or froze enough vegetables that they could have three different types of vegetables every night for a year. She has been a lifelong resident of Bristol Township.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her sons, William Mucklow and Norris Mucklow, U.S. Army and grandchildren N. Corey and Justin.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Mucklow, Loris, grandchildren, Kristi (James), Laurie, William, Ruthie, Evelyn, and Edie, and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA 19021 from 10:00 AM - 10:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
