Edna Mae Koszarek

Edna Mae (Fortnum) Koszarek passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Mahoning Valley Nursing Home is Lehighton, PA. She was 94 years old. Edna grew up in Eddington, PA and then lived in Andalusia, where she spent most of her life until moving upstate to be close to Bill, Jr. She worked for Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Elizabeth’s Convent in Bensalem for many years. Edna Mae had a deep love and devotion for her family and friends. She was a caretaker to many family members throughout her life. Edna loved Surf City on Long Beach Island and crabbing with her husband Bill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Edna Fortnum; Her brother, Dr. Walter G. Fortnum (the late June Fortnum); Her daughter June E. Koszarek, her husband William E. Koszarek, Sr, her son William E. Koszarek, Jr. Edna will be deeply missed by her daughter, Maria C. Capaldi (Joseph) and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen M. Koszarek. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: William, III, Danielle, Colette (Robin), Jannelle (Caleb), Jennifer and Joseph (Rebecca) and 7 great grandchildren: Caleb, Conner, Emmalyn, Ava, Aiden, Zoey and Abigail and 1 great-great grandchild, Allison. Anyone who knew mom (Edna Mae) knew she had the gift of gab and she did it best. Relatives and friends are invited her viewing Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her service at 11 AM.
