Katherine Anna Patelunas, 90, passed away on August 5, 2024 at Southampton Estates.

    Katherine was born in Philadelphia and grew up on a farm in Bensalem.  She graduated from Bensalem High School and began working for Bell Telephone.   

She is the daughter of the late Emilie and late John Miller. Katherine married her late husband, Lawrence Patelunas, Sr. on September 20, 1958. They had three children.  She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Copeland and her late husband, Richard Copeland; late Diana Hoffman and husband, Leo Hoffman II, and the late Lawrence Patelunas, Jr.  She is survived by 2 grandchildren, Leo Hoffman III(Melissa Hundley), and Katherine Hoffman(Addison Hanna).  Katherine is the sister of late Emilie Nowak (late Stanley), Janet Terrill (late Stephen), and brother of Albert Miller (Nancy).

    Katherine attended Redeemer Lutheran Church in Penndel, PA.  She was a previous board member, choir member and past president of the women’s group.   She was an active member on many church dinners and activities.  She enjoyed sewing and making crafts for the Women’s Fall Bazaar.  She loved getting together for lunch with alumni from her High School Reunion Class.  Katherine was the treasurer of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Successfully).   She also participated in many activities from the Neshaminy Activity Senior Center.  She had many hobbies which included sewing, making crafts, cooking, baking, and reading.  She loved being a homemaker and especially looked forward to family gatherings.

     A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 12, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hulmeville & Woodland Avenues, Penndel, PA 19047.    Mailing address - 239 Fairview Avenue, Penndel, PA 19047.  Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
