Obituary

Rosemary Louise Moore (née Roehner), age 87, died on Sunday, May 10. Rosemary was born in Philadelphia, and raised in Trevose, PA. She was a long-time resident of Broomall, PA, where she lived for over 50 years with her late husband of 65 years, Thomas J. Moore.

Rosemary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She attended Bensalem High School, and later worked at INA/Cigna where she met Thomas, as a shopper at Strawbridges, for a market research firm, and as a law clerk. She loved games of all sorts, including bowling, badminton, pinochle, game shows, and even letting her grandchildren win a hand of cards now and then. Rosemary will be remembered for her warmth and caring nature—she could talk to anyone, delighted in learning the story of everyone she crossed paths with, and always had a Hallmark card for the exact occasion, big or small.

Rosemary is survived by her two children, Thomas Moore (Nancy), Cindy Szkaradnik (John), four grandchildren, Holly Moore Twilley (Brian), Amy Dougherty (Pat), Mindy Howland (Matt), and Amber Szkaradnik, five great-grandchildren (Sienna, Eloise, Lucy, Emma, and Elena), and her brother William Roehner (Ruth). She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Moore, her parents, William and Louise Roehner, and her siblings, Harry Kissig and Marian Manno.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Wednesday, May 13 from 12-2 pm at Giuseppe's Pizza & Family Restaurant, 990 Second Street Pike, Richboro, PA.

In lieu of flowers, Rosemary’s family would appreciate memorial contributions made in her name to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
