Lucia Pale (Lesher)

LUCIA LESHER OBITUARY

9.3.39 – 12.11.21 Lucia Lesher of Hershey, Pa passed away in death Saturday, December 11, 2021. She was the last of ten children born to Alphonso and Frances (Bucci) Pale. Supportive wife to Frank Edward Lesher, Jr., (deceased); loving and protective mother to Scott (deceased), D. Randall, Brian (Shelly), Frank (Catherine) and Lisa El Haddad (Essadik); proud grandmother to Frances Iglesias (Henry), Nichole, Austin (Jessica), Alexia, Randi, Luciano; and great grandmother to Lorenzo Iglesias. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she moved to Pittsburgh with her husband and five children in tow. Daily phone calls and weekly letters kept her as close to her family as she could be as she and her husband raised their children, eventually moving to Hershey, PA. Entertaining; cooking; eating; talking; laughing; and making memories made her the most happy. Home was definitely where her heart was. She thrived on being with and taking care of her family, and as such was the proverbial matriarch of the Lesher clan; waking at dawn each and every day to tirelessly care for her family. Her creativity shined in the way she beautifully presented each meal; grew her bountiful and gorgeous gardens; dressed; decorated her home; and did her many crafts of sewing, embroidery, and knitting. She had a natural touch to make all things beautiful. Lucia was simply the embodiment of love, strength, courage, and integrity. She has passed these traits down and because of that her memory will live on. It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we lost our mother (grand and great grand) and friend. She will be remembered as someone who loved both her family and her God, Jehovah completely. She served as a lifelong Jehovah's Witness and as such her greatest hope was to be once again reunited with her parents and her immediate and extended family. We look forward to that time. www.pennlive.com/obits
