| Helen (Smith) Hoff, 86, of 4 Hancock Drive, East Berlin; and formerly of Newport, Perry County; Cornwells Heights, Bucks County; and Summerland Key, Fla., died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at her home. She was the wife of Robert Newman Hoff, who died April 6, 1998.
Born Feb. 29, 1916, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late T. Charles and Cora L. (Sharp) Smith. She was a charter member of Lakeview Christian Fellowship, Lake Meade, East Berlin; and a former active member of Range End Square Dance Club in Dillsburg. She was retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Bensalem High School in 1933. Surviving are three daughters, Helen L. Welsh of Boulder, Colo., Barbara J. Mrgich of East Berlin and Nancy J. Garrison of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Marion Gough of New Oxford; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from Feiser Funeral Home Inc., 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin. The Rev. Kenneth Stewart of Lakeview Christian Fellowship, Lake Meade, and the Rev. Larry Dentler, of Bermudian Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. There will be no viewing. However, the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. |
