Catherine J. Pierson (Babesh) - Class Of 1942
| Catherine Jane Babesh Chandler Hall Hospice Catherine J. (nee Pierson) Babesh, age 80, formerly of Bensalem, passed away Saturday morning, September 27, 2003, at the Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown. Mrs. Babesh had been a resident of Bensalem for many years. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church of Fallsington for over 50 years having served as Director of the Altar Guild for over 30 years. She also served on the Vestry and was a Delegate to the Philadelphia Diocese. She was a member for over 30 years of the Morning Star Chapter #395 of the Order of the Eastern Star. For 15 years she served on the Advisory Board of the International Order of Rainbow Girls. Catherine was an avid maker of quilts, did crocheting and handcrafting. Preceded in death by her husband Andrew J. Babesh; a son James Babesh; and two daughters Geraldine McDevitt and Catherine Benvenuto. She is survived by one son Joseph Babesh of Anson, Maine; two daughters, Andrea McCabe and her husband Brian of Horsham, Marie Sarle and her husband William of Langhorne, 15 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. An Eastern Star Service followed by a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday morning, October 4, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 9 Locust Ave., Fallsington, Pa. Donations may be made in her name to the Church and the Chandler Hall Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home. |
