Esther Baker (Ruppert) - Class Of 1961

Esther Baker (Ruppert)

Esther G. Ruppert (Baker)

Wednesday, December 30th, 1942 - Tuesday, October 24th, 2023

Esther Geraldine Baker Ruppert (80) of North Wales, PA (formerly Bensalem, PA) passed away on 10/24/2023. She was married to the late William F Ruppert, formerly of Bensalem, PA

Esther was preceded in death by parents Verna and Douglas Baker, brothers Richard Baker (Jamie) and Fred Baker (Phyllis), and sister in law, Susan.

She is survived by daughters Corinne May Freeman (JD), CherylAnne Bryant (Johnny), Sydney Adams (Louis Caraballo) and son William D Ruppert (Karen), grandchildren James David Freeman III (Lora), Julianne Freeman Evenson (Hunter), Janette and Jaqueline Freeman, Samantha, Cheyanne, and Linzey Ruppert, and great-grandchildren Emily Freeman, Thoran and Quinn Evenson and her two beloved cats.

Esther was very loved by other family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Esther was strong-willed, stubborn at times, and “spicy” all the time. She also had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor.

Esther worked for Nabisco early in her life and for Carvel in Bensalem for 15 years. She also enjoyed teaching ceramics for 25 years in the family business, 4G Ceramics but she was best known for all the beautiful cakes she made over a 45-year period.

One of Esther’s passions was camping and making new friends, which is how she earned the nickname Gabbyladi. She never met a stranger, and she made everyone feel like they were special. She and Bill’s theme song was “On the Road Again,” and they were again and again. They succeeded in camping across the United States and visited all US states except Alaska.

Esther was a scout leader for 17 years with the Freedom Valley Girl Scouts. She was also involved in Bensalem Band Boosters for several years. Esther was an avid Eagles fan and loved watching professional golf. And we can’t forget her love for her cats.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Saturday, November 4th from 1:00-2:00 PM followed by her Service at 2:00 PM. Esther requested that all guests wear bright colors, she did not want anyone to wear black at her Funeral
