Obituary

Dorothy Catherine “Dolly” Rutecki, of Penndel, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family on August 20th. She was 81 years old. In earlier years, Dolly was a graduate of the Bensalem High School class of 1961, worked as a Crossing Guard in order to be home with her children. She later worked for Zober Industries as an HR Assistant for 10 years. Dolly was a devoted wife and mother, who adored all her grandbabies and great grandbabies, and cherished all of the time that she was able to spend with them. She also enjoyed her time with her partner in crime and sister-in-law, Donna, and loved to visit Parx Casino. Dolly will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 57 years, Leonard, her children: Leonard Rutecki Jr. (Jen), Kimberly Schmidt (Dave), and Karen Henderson (Matthew), her grandchildren: Brietta Rutecki, Anna Rutecki, Emma Schmidt, Melayne Schmidt, Jack Henderson, and Fiona Henderson, her great grandchildren: Raelynn Schmidt, Harper Schmidt, and Oaklee Schmidt, her sisters-in law: Donna, Amelia, and Joan well as many nieces and nephews. Dolly was preceded in death by her grandson, Logan Rutecki, her siblings; James, Frank, John, William, Edward, June, and Joseph. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Friday, August 25th from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by her Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s organization in Dorothy’s name.
