Dorothy Hoffman (Van Horn)

OBITUARY

Dorothy Catherine Van Horn

September 30, 1943 – September 1, 2025

Dorothy Catherine Van Horn, affectionately known as Dot or Tiny, age 81 passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a lifelong Lower Bucks resident. While she had various jobs helping children throughout her life, her REAL passion was taking care of her family. Her home was a gathering place, filled with laughter as neighborhood kids were always welcome.

One of her favorite things was camping with the family from Pennsylvania to Texas, and all areas in between. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

She just loved to have fun.

Besides her children, Dot loved her dogs, which were probably her favorite children.

Tiny had a heart of gold, and was always willing to help.

She was loved by all, and will be surely missed by all who knew her.

Predeceased by her parents, Dorothy M. and Edward M. Hoffman; her sisters, Christine Weston, and Patricia Powers; her brothers-in-law, Tom Van Horn and Rick Powers, her sister-in-law, Janice Hoffman; her daughter-in-law, Tamie Van Horn; and her loving dogs, Bunni, Daisy, and Dandi.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ronald Van Horn, Sr.; her children, Ronnie Van Horn, Sherri Meador (Jim), Robyn McComas (Ron), and Scott Van Horn; her grandchildren, Crystal (Ryan), Stephanie, Courtney (J.J.), Sarah (Andrew), Shawn, Christopher, Hunter (Sarah), Brooke, and Makenna; her great grandchildren, Catherine, Isabel, Ryan, Carson, and Logan; her siblings Gerri (Oscar) and Pete, her sister-in-law Ardyss, brothers-in-law Ed and James(Vicki); her beloved dog Honey, and many nieces and nephews.

All services for Dot will be private.
