I was friends with Sandy from the age of 8 years old.She lived about two blocks from me and she lived on Asbury ave in what was called Eddington Pa in the 50's.
We later went to nursing and to Bensalem high together.
Our lives changed and we both got married and didn't see each other until the late 1980's when it was discovered that we were both single
moms with two kids....Our sons became friends and we grew close by having shared dinners and doing things with the children..
I moved away and lost track of her but thanks to the re-unions I got back in touch with her..
Sandy was a lovely person with a great sense of humor.....I had been trying to reconnect with her but could not get thru to her phone many times.
When I moved here to Delaware, she called me in 2022 and we had a long overdue conversation and I will miss her Dearly!
Rest in Peace my lifelong friend.....huggzz in heaven
Condolences to Sandy's family and friends. I am so sorry we have lost another from our 1964 class. Sandy and I socialized on and off throughout junior and senior high school. We had a lot of fun attending dances, parties, and activities in and out of school. I remember her enjoying playing practical jokes on people. We were also in some of the same classes in junior high, but she later attended technical school for nursing with some of our mutual friends. We lost touch after high school, but reconnected a few years ago. Sandy joined a group of girls from our class who met up for lunch dates. She attended my son's wedding in 2014 with the same luncheon group, and also attended our Atlantic City Reunion. She wasn't feeling up to attending luncheons for a while after that, and we couldn't seem to reach her by telephone. I was so sorry to learn from Irene that Sandy had passed. I will always remember the fun times throughout our school days.
