Ida Louise Parks
Ida Louise Parks, a longtime resident of Shamong, NJ, died Sunday Aug. 4 at Juniper Village at Williamstown with family by her side. She was 73 and recently suffered complications from dementia.
Parks, a longtime and respected language teacher at Bensalem High School in Pennsylvania, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sibling, and friend. She is survived by daughters Krista Parks, of Williamstown, and Jennifer Dorn (and husband Kenny) of Medford; granddaughters Hailey and Mackenzie; brothers Charlie Leusner of Cape May Court House, NJ; Jim Leusner of Orlando, FL; Vince Leusner of Cherry Hill, NJ, sister Mary Leusner Bavi of Delran, NJ; Uncle Francis Leusner of Cinnaminson, NJ; and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband John (J.W.) Parks.
She was a longtime member of Holy Eucharist Catholic Church in Tabernacle.
Friends and relatives are invited to Givnish Funeral Home, 1200 Route 130 North, the viewing will take place from 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 9th. Her funeral mass at St. Charles Borromeo, 2500 Branch Pike Cinnaminson with the euology beginning 10:45 am on, Aug.10th. Burial will take place afterward at Lakeview Memorial Park, Route 130, Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ida's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, www.stjude.org
