Obituary

Fred “Beefo” Brennan born in Frackville, PA on July 23, 1947, to the late Fred M Brennan and Anna S. Brennan (Bareika). Growing up in Frackville Beefo attended St. Joseph Elementary School and Frackville High School. During his High School career, he played four years of varsity sports. After High School graduation in June of 1966 Beefo was drafted into the U.S. Army on October 26th of the same year. During his military service he did a tour of duty in Viet Nam. After returning home he entered college in January 1969 under the GI Bill. He graduated in May 1972 with a comprehensive degree in Industrial Arts. After graduation he worked for the Human Research Development Foundation in Wheeling West VA. In January 1973 he resigned his position and returned to college and received his teaching certification in Industrial Arts Education. IN September 1973 he procured a position with the Bensalem Township School District where he taught Industrial Arts with a concentration in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). Later he became the Co-operative Education coordinator and Industrial Arts Home Economics and Art Department Chairperson. He also coached football and baseball. He retired in 2008 after 35 years of teaching.
He was a member of the Jerry Wolman Northern Anthracite Division of Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, the American Legion Post 398 (Frackville, PA0, Harry A Houseman 717 Free and Accepted Masons of (Bristol, PA) and a lifetime member of the Frackville Elks Lodge 1533 and the Harry T. Clunn Memorial VFW 9220 (Bensalem, PA).
He leaves behind a loving wife Linda of 43 years, and 2 daughters Dr. Tracy Brennan (Jonathan Palma) and Megan Leslie (Colin Leslie) and 6 grandchildren Darcy, Gideon, Dominic, Eddie, Dean and Sammy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday June 14, 2025, from 1 to 3 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 3 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Guardians of the National Cemetery, 233 Newtown Bypass, Newtown, PA 18940. www.tomlinsonfh.com
