Boyzell Williams' Story
1949 - 2025
Boyzell Williams, age 75, of Townsend, Delaware and formerly of Newark, Delaware passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at home. Born in Trenton, New Jersey and raised in the Mitchel and Williams families, and previously lived in the Trevose, Pennsylvania area. He was a graduate of Bensalem High School and studied Psychology at Bucks County Community College.
Boyzell was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was a Staff Sergeant in the 3rd Avionics Maintenance Sq. in the Pacific Air Force Command located at McChord Air Force Base, Tacoma, Washington. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Armed Force Expeditionary Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal, and the Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal. Prior to retirement, Boyzell owner and operated Natural Health and Metaphysical Bookstore In Laurel, Delaware as well as a location in Wilmington, DE. He was a Spiritual Advisor Reiki Master teaching classes throughout Delaware. In addition to his late parents, Inez Mitchel and Dan Williams, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amina Jackson who passed away in 2023, his brothers, Dan and Otis Williams; his granddaughter, La Tasha Williams and his former wife, Karen Williams. He is survived by his son, Alexis Hurley Williams; his grandchildren, Zakia Jackson; Damir Jackson, Malik Jackson, Raheem Williams and Karen Williamson; and his former companion Brenda Ferguson. Military honors and burial rites will be afforded at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware 19701. Chapel services will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025; chapel services promptly begin at 2:00 p.m. Please arrive at the cemetery chapel by 1:55 p.m.
