John L. Kleber - Class Of 1946

John L. Kleber

John Louis 'Louie' Kleber Sr., a lifelong resident of Bensalem, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at his home. He was 88.

Louie was born in Cumberland, Md., to John Louis and Mary Binder Kleber.

Louie was the former proprietor of Kleber's Garage of Bensalem for more than 40 years, the business was started by his father in 1932, and is now operated by his son, Scott.

He enjoyed fishing at the Jersey shore; loved working on cars and trucks, and he enjoyed 'puttering' around the house.

He graduated from Bensalem High School; was a member of the former Christ Episcopal Church, and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was the beloved husband of Nancy McClurken Kleber for 66 years; a devoted father of R. Scott Kleber (Barbara), Kim M. Maddocks (the late Charlie), and the late John L. Jr. and Kurt W. Kleber. Louie was the proud grandfather of John L. Kleber III, Christine Marsaglia, Charles J. Maddocks Jr. (Dana), Tina M. Lucas (Richard), Bradford J. Maddocks (Amanda), and Joseph, Hannah and Julia Kleber; great-grandfather of Johnny, Emmy, Dominic, Dalton, Charles, Owen, Tanner, Lincoln, Brate, Ella, Caleb, Nathan, Jaci Beth, Jake, Bohdan, Louie, and Finn.

Services and interment will be held at a later date. Tomlinson Funeral Home, Bensalem
