Joseph A. Lotz, Sr.

 

Bensalem Resident

 

 

Joseph A. Lotz, Sr., age 76 of Bensalem passed away Friday, October 8, 2004 at Kindred Hospital, in Philadelphia.

 

Born in Bristol, Pa., he was a lifelong resident of Bensalem. He was employed as a Welder/Fabricator with Badenhousen, Riley, Stoker for 25 years and with Schutte and Koerting for 17 years both in Bensalem. Also worked in the maintenance department for Tyler State Park, retiring in 2001. Joe was a life time member of the Cornwells Fire Company #1 for 58 years, a member of the Bucks County Firemans Association, member of the American Legion Post #382 in Bristol, a member of the St. Ann's Athletic Association also in Bristol and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Joe was also a communicate and Usher at St. Charles Borromeo Church.

 

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 52 years, Joan E. (nee Kee); two daughters, Kathleen Lyons and her husband Edward of Basking Ridge, N.J. and Jeanne E. Kress and her husband Matthew of Bensalem; one son, Joseph A. Lotz, Jr. and his wife Kelly also of Bensalem. Brother of the late Francis J. Lotz. Also survived by four sisters, Gerardine Weber of Levittown, Anna K. Lotz and Catherine T. Lotz both of Bensalem and his twin, Mary Ruszin of Bristol; and five grandchildren, Kelly Anne, Jon, Elizabeth, Lee Ann and Joseph A. III.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday 8:30 a.m. at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may also call Tuesday evening 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cornwells Fire Company, 2049 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020.
