In Memory

Joseph E. Eddie Bloomfield - Class Of 1951

Joseph E. Eddie Bloomfield

Joseph E. Bloomfield, Jr.

Joseph (Ed) E. Bloomfield, Jr. of Newtown, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17th. He was 92 years old. Born in 1933 to the late Joseph Sr. and Josephine Bloomfield (Mingle).

He was born in Yardley, Pa. and was a lifelong Farmer, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on the Farm. He was mostly a crop and vegetable farmer, growing tomatoes for Campbell’s and Violet packing company. He knew a lot about farming in general, like raising cattle and livestock from the years of living and working on a dairy farm.

His greatest passion in life was going to auctions, especially to catch up on the latest gossip. Ed also enjoyed taking his antique tractors to the Middletown grange fair and driving them in the tractor parades. A common theme when speaking with family and friends is that Ed was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

Ed is survived by his loving children, Joseph E. Bloomfield, III (Jerrica), Michael English (Maryann), David English (Debbie). Former wife, Bertha (Sue) Bloomfield; grandchildren, Michael, Jr. (Lauren), Stacey (Ryan), Ryan (Kasey), Tommy (Kathy), Holly, Jason (Andrea), David III (Tammy), Jennifer and Bobby. He is predeceased by the late Joanne Bloomfield (daughter) and Charles Bloomfield (Brother).

Family and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 10am-11am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, Richboro, PA. A memorial service will follow.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Future Farmers of America (FFA) at https://ffa.givenow.stratuslive.com/ffadonate or Middletown Grange Fair at https://www.paypal.com/donate?token=tzpQlSradUXQc5tva-_6WgfeeN3SL1MnNcxW13MNGUdQghYPqY_HZXSeR0GuVxUaP2eNVzsvlaFOI6kz.
