ohn Mellor, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 92. John was born in Trevose, PA to the late John and Bessie (nee Mallony) Mellor. After living a long and fulfilling life, he has gone to reunite with his beautiful wife of over 50 years. He is survived by his children David Mellor,  Diane Cornman, and Barbara (Phil) Driscoll; Jason Cornman (Trish), Jacquelyn O’Rourke (Matthew), Nicole Tinkham (Justin), Michael Cornman, Brianna Chapman, and Paul Chapman ( PJ ); and his great grandchildren Madisyn Cornman, Abby Elaine Cornman, Troy Cornman, Lukas Cornman, and Charlee O’Rourke.

John’s love for his family was at the heart of everything he did. Family trips were some of his most cherished moments, he bowled for many years alongside his grandson Jayson and other family / friends members. In his later years, his children brought even more joy into his life by starting a Wednesday happy hour tradition. In no time, this “Wednesday crew” became an extended family to John, providing laughter and companionship.

A man of great generosity, John was known for his charitable nature, donating to nearly every cause that crossed his path. Whether it was something he saw on TV or heard about from others, John’s kindness knew no bounds.

John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His life was a testament to love, kindness, and generosity. He leaves behind a legacy of memories and a reminder of the importance of family and giving back.

Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Visitation on September 10th, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of his service which will begin at 12:00 PM at The Decker/Givnish Funeral Home 216 York Road, Warminster PA 18974. The burial will take place on Friday September 20th, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940.
