Harry M Kersey III

U.S. Army Veteran

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Born in Abington, Pa, grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia but made his
home in Illinois.  He served in the United States Armed Forces where he played
baseball as a pitcher for the Army.  His love of baseball continued as
he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play.  He was a coach
and umpire and loved watching his Cubs.  He enjoyed bowling with friends
where he achieved his high score of 299.  He was a great dad, super
grandpa, wonderful Uncle Buddy, loyal friend and an all-around great guy.                                                                                                        
Harry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lola Kersey; and one brother, John Kersey.

Survived by his loving children, Debbie (Jim) Sopher, Jeff (Laura) Kersey, Alisa (Bob) Chrusciel and Tracy (Jim Fischbeck) Kersey; Cherished grandchildren, Jeremy and Stephanie Sopher, Alex and Aaron Chrusciel, Katie (Kevin Lessmann) Kersey, James Fischbeck, Michayla and Emma Kersey; siblings, Raymond (Carole) Kersey and Joan Kersey; and Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
