John Christian Meyer

January 18, 1938  -  July 6, 2024

John (Jack) Christian Meyer, 86, of Bensalem, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6th, 2024, at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital. He had been residing in Florida for the past year with his beloved wife, Nancy Lee (Hahn) Meyer.

Born on January 18, 1938, in Oakford, PA, John was the son of the late Mildred Adeline (Kull) and William McKinley Meyer.

 He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, cherishing every moment of his military service and demonstrating unwavering love for his country. Following his service, Jack established his own successful business specializing in forklift servicing. His dedication and entrepreneurial spirit left a lasting impact on those around him. Jack was a devoted member of Bensalem Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as an usher for many years. He also drove the bus for vacation Bible school. Jack’s passion for working on cars, especially alongside his three boys, created cherished and lasting memories. Jack was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Meyer, and their three sons: Jack Meyer (Barb), Jim Meyer (Peggy), and Joe Meyer (Laurie). He also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Johnny Longmore, Krystal Armstrong, Carlyn Mayr, Tory Meyer, Christian Meyer, Brendan Meyer, and Janelle Meyer. Additionally, he is survived by his great-grandson, Warren Armstrong, four sisters in laws: Georgeanna Meyer, Sally Sherrard (Jim), Kathleen Langdon, Pamela Hahn and five nieces and four nephews: Linda Cordasco, Sue O’Malley, Carol Craig, Bill Meyer, Rich Meyer, James Sherrard, Kelly Smith, Butch Meisner, Shelby Hahn.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mildred and William, his brother Bill Meyer and sister Alma McCaughey, and three brothers-in-law John McCaughey, John Hahn and George Langdon.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to John on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Hoffmann Meyers Givnish Funeral Home (1770 Brown Ave., Bensalem, PA 19020). A Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 am, with interment at Forest Hills Cemetery. Dorothy Hinchliffe (Tarbutton) (1957)

Sorry for your loss. Jack was a friend back in the 50's. He was in a group of us who lived in Trevose. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
