Richard Lewis Richardson
Richard Lewis Richardson, 77, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice in Salisbury. Mr. Richardson was born on Jan. 30, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Franklin Lewis Richardson and Ruth Blakemore Richardson. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from Ben Salem High School and worked as a supervisor at Avery International until his retirement. A member of Kannapolis Church of God, Richard enjoyed working on cars and tending to his garden. He also enjoyed sharing his Christian faith with others with his word and the way he lived his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Jonny Richardson. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Boral Richardson; three sons, David Richardson (Dana) of Monroe, Scott Richardson (Cynthia) of Monroe and Stephen Richardson (Patti) of Monroe; four daughters, Suzanne Morrison (Vick) of Concord, Mari Beth Butler (Robert) of Indian Trail, Faith Randall (David) of Monroe and Joy Hawkins (Bo) of Salisbury; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Service & Visitation: A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Kannapolis Church of God, 2211 W A Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081. conducted by pastor, Greg Sloop. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kannapolis Church of God, Missions.
