Edward L. Congdon - Class Of 1962

Edward L. Congdon

Edward L. Congdon “Ed” age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 1, 2025 at St. Mary Medical Center.

     Born in Philadelphia he had moved to Bucks County at age 11 and was a longtime resident of Langhorne. He was a graduate of Bensalem High School, class of 1962. Ed had been employed by 3M as a Maintenance Supervisor and retired after 30 years of service as Plant Engineer. He was an avid golfer and loved chatting and spending time with family and friends. He was very skillful in multiple trades and used those talents fixing things for all.  He was an excellent listener, had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed helping everyone anyway possible!

     A hero to some and a friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leon E. and Marion B. Congdon. Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years Pamela; his son Scott Congdon; his 2 grandchildren Edward and Katelyn and his siblings Dorothy, Barbara and Lee. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

     Family and friends will be received at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Bellevue Ave., Penndel, PA 19047 on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.  A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM. with interment to follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.

Clara Eggert (Eckelmeyer) (1962)

I'm so sorry to see of Ed's passing. He was such a great guy. Ed was in my classes for many years. My thoughts and prayers are with Pam and their family. Another Classmate of 62 gone.
Ed will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
