Karen L. Schneider (Brown) - Class Of 1963 VIEW PROFILE

Karen L. Schneider (Brown)

Karen Leone Brown, formerly of Levittown and Bensalem, passed away peacefully on October 4th surrounded by her family. Karen was born on December 18, 1945, in Philadelphia, the daughter of late Ernie and Louise Schneider, and later moved to Bensalem. She was a Founding Member of Peace Lutheran Church which her father helped build. Karen was a graduate of Bensalem High School and was involved in organizing their Class Reunions. Karen worked for many years as a Medical Office Manager for Franciscan Health Services, followed by Supervising the Customer Service Department of CHN in Hamilton, NJ. She was also a member of the Bucks County Medical Office Managers Association. Karen had many interests including attending the theater, visiting the library, reading, gardening, line dancing, playing cards, traveling, and spending time at the Jersey Shore. Karen led costume designs and creations for Gym Nights at Maple Point High School, Spirit Days at Bishop Conwell High School, and Sports Nights at Bishop Egan High School. The words, “What a beautiful difference one single life made”, are perfect for Karen. Her passion in life was her family and her large group of friends. Her door was always open, and her kitchen table was always ready for a heart-to-heart and a cup of tea. Her thoughtfulness and sense of humor made everyone feel special and comfortable. Karen will be deeply missed by her children: David Brown (Eileen), Missy Ciampa (Tom), and Tammy Muir (Mark), her grandchildren: Meghan Harkin (Sean), Patrick Kelly (Danielle), Shannon Kelly, Alex Ciampa, Amanda Ciampa, Abby Ciampa, Jack Hedeman, Nicholas Hedeman, Tyler Muir, Lexi Muir, Sydney Muir, as well as her great-grandchildren: Vincenzo and Seamus. Karen will also be missed by her nephew, John Munice, and her many amazing friends who were like family to her. She was preceded in death by her best friend Alice Brown, known to all as Aunt Alice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation on Saturday, December 17th from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by her Service at 11:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church, 3900 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa 19020. Interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Karen Brown to Peace Lutheran Church at the above address or at https://www.gofundme.com/f/peace-lutheran-church-in-honor-of-karen-brown.
